Witnessing the World in Me / And Me in the World

Webinar Series: The Practice & Principles of Global Social Witnessing
beginning April 12, 2022

“Through a conscious individual practice and a We-practice, we can venture back to the unfelt and not experienced parts of the cultural experience. We can learn where our personal and collective limits lie, how to really experience challenging events, and thus be a real witness of our time.” (Thomas Hübl)

This webinar provides a means to learn and dive more deeply into GSW guided by senior students of Thomas Hübl who have been refining the practice since 2017.

In the webinar we will:
Practice and Develop important competencies used in GSW (and helpful in many other parts of life)
  • 3/4 Sync – Awareness of Internal Body, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual Moment to Moment experience
  • Transparent Communication
  • Attunement – To the event, the self and to others in the group
  • Spaciousness and Presence (refining my ability to sit in stillness and spaciousness and the practice of “slowing down” so that more can arise and be present in my awareness)
Explore key elements needed to deepen Global Social Witnessing practice
  • The role of Intention in focusing and increasing the potency of GSW practice
  • Transforming remembering from a mental process to an embodied experience of “Re-Membering”
  • Discovering what we each need to make ourselves more fully “available” as witnesses
  • Understanding the role of “losing our way” and the threads of our heart connections in witnessing
  • Emptying ourselves to allow being “In-formed” in a new way
Experience Global Social Witnessing practices in an increasingly coherent “We-space” during the course of the webinar and explore Principles of GSW Practice
  • Being with what is in the moment, without following the urge to “understand or interpret”
  • Including everything that arises during the practice as important to the process, not self-censoring
  • Sitting in a state of not knowing and allowing the unknown to reveal itself
  • Attuning to what others in the group share so their experiences extend and deepen our own
  • Experiencing the power of a coherent We-space as a living organism of which we are a part
  • Discovering personal resonance that creates a deeper intimacy and connection with the social fabric
  • Creating space in ourselves for those we reject, revealing new perspectives and understanding
  • Precision - the more precisely I can receive and attune to my relation/response to the place, event, collective issue, the more love and space arises – precision is love

“I got an idea of what the GSW practice is about and it motivated me to continue making experiences with it.  A great introductory "course" to GSW - I enjoyed the facilitation!”
Carina S.
“I loved the mixture of theory in the beginning and then the applied practice. this was very helpful to me.  I felt super safe and comfortable to speak and share "unfiltered" from my heart.”
 Angela V.
“I found this webinar series on introducing the Principles and Practices of Global Social Witnessing was a wonderful opportunity to get hands on practice of this new modality of interfacing, relating to and potentially impacting the wider social/global field. I found it extremely well put together, held with a high degree of integrity to the material by the three facilitators, with opportunity for learning, experiencing and relating within a small community of fellow learners.”
